Interactive Metronome
What is INTERACTIVE Metronome?
Interactive Metronome® (IM) is an evidence-based training as well as an assessment tool that has been shown to better cognition, attention, focus, memory, speech/ language, executive functioning, comprehension, and motor & sensory skills.
IM is an engaging therapeutic modality used by many clinicians, hospitals, and universities who work with kids, teenagers, and adult patients. It has shown benefits for people with neurological conditions that affect cognitive and motor functioning.
IM challenges your clients to synchronise a range of whole-body exercises to a beat. A score is provided in milliseconds and therefore, we can get very precise data on a person’s reaction time/ response time. It has amazing game-like features that engage the client with auditory (hearing) and visual (seeing) guidance.
It is a multi-disciplinary tool that provides users with baseline, real-time, and over-time testing functionality. It provides us with real-time feedback while encouraging clients to improve their scores and therefore, improve their cognition, executive functioning, and motor & sensory skills.
Professionals use IM as a training tool for people with ADHD, autism, traumatic brain injuries (TBIs), strokes, sensory processing disorders, learning disabilities, developmental delays, speech-language issues, cerebral palsy, auditory processing disorders and dyslexia.
It is also used to improve sports & athletic performance.
